Primary Care Physio Proud to Become a Disability Confident Committed Employer

At Primary Care Physio (PCP), we are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive. We are proud to share that PCP is now officially recognised as a Disability Confident Committed employer (Level 1) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
What Does Disability Confident Committed Mean?
Being Disability Confident Committed means we have signed up to a set of pledges that ensure our recruitment, workplace culture, and support systems are inclusive for people with disabilities and long-term health conditions.
As part of this commitment, PCP has pledged to:
-
Ensure our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible
-
Communicate vacancies and opportunities widely
-
Offer interviews to disabled applicants who meet the essential role criteria
-
Anticipate and provide reasonable adjustments as needed
-
Support existing employees who acquire a disability or long-term health condition
-
Provide at least one employment-related opportunity (such as work experience, placements, or apprenticeships) for disabled people each year
Why This Matters
We believe that talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not always equal. By joining the Disability Confident scheme, PCP is taking active steps to break down barriers, widen participation, and ensure we do not miss out on the skills and potential of disabled people.
This commitment strengthens our culture, supports wellbeing, and reflects the values at the heart of PCP: fairness, inclusivity, and excellence.
A Message from Our Head of People:
“We are delighted to be recognised as a Disability Confident Committed employer. This is an important step in our journey to becoming a truly inclusive organisation. At PCP, we want every colleague to feel supported, valued, and able to succeed. By making our recruitment and workplace practices more accessible, we not only create fair opportunities but also unlock the full potential of talented people who may otherwise be overlooked. I am excited to see the positive impact this will bring to our teams, our organisation, and the communities we serve.”
Tina Henry, Head of People, PCP
What’s Next
Becoming a Disability Confident Committed employer is just the beginning. Over the next three years, PCP will continue building on this foundation with the aim of progressing to Level 2: Disability Confident Employer.
We will continue to:
-
Expand our inclusive recruitment practices
-
Strengthen workplace adjustments and support
-
Provide meaningful work opportunities for disabled people
-
Gather feedback from our teams to improve and evolve our approach
We are proud of this milestone and what it represents. At PCP, inclusion is not just a policy - it is part of who we are. Becoming Disability Confident Committed is another step forward in our mission to remain the employer of choice for people wishing to develop a career in primary care.
